Armed Forces Day
We’re delighted to be returning to the Armed Forces Day National Event, in Scarborough, on Saturday 25th June 2022.
Following Covid-related postponements, and three years since we last attended the event in Salisbury, the Defence Discount Service team can’t wait for the big day!
As an event sponsor, and the official discount provider for the Ministry of Defence, it’s a chance for our team to meet our members, hear their stories in-person, and ultimately say thank you for their service.
Look out for our stand at South Bay!
Over the course of the weekend, the event is expected to bring in a record attendance of over 100,000 visitors, as they all come together to celebrate our Armed Forces.
The day will also feature impressive displays including:
• RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team
• RAF Red Arrows Display Team
• RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight
• RAF Typhoon
It’s been 10 years since Defence Discount Service was launched in time for Christmas 2012. Since then, we’ve grown to over 600,000 members, with discounts from over 9,000 brand partners.
In those 10 years, the Armed Forces community continues to show the very best of what it means to serve, particularly going above and beyond to support the NHS and the general public as a result of the impact of Covid-19.
On the day we’ll be showcasing some exciting announcements for the future of Defence Discount Service.
Tom Dalby, CEO of Defence Discount Service said:
“Armed Forces Day is a hugely significant day for us to come together and show our support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, as well as an opportunity to say hello in person.
“The National Event marks several turbulent years for us all, and we have to say a particular thank you to the men and women who worked tirelessly to support our healthcare system during the pandemic, from in-hospital care and administrative support, to assistance with the national testing effort and vaccine rollout.
“2022 is also a year of big, exciting changes here at Defence Discount Service, and the day represents the beginning of something very special.”
